Jamie McCLelland

Director Jamie graduated with honors from Nottingham Trent University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. Jamie worked with Taylor Woodrow Construction in the United Kingdom before moving to France to open his first construction management company in the Alps. While in Europe, he brought the construction plans and dreams of British owners to life, completing in-­‐depth design and build renovations to homes, chalets and small hotels. His love of the mountains brought him to Vancouver in 2005, where he has specialized in the estimation and project management of commercial structures. Jamie brings leadership skills that he gained while managing successful construction projects, which were completed on time and on budget. He is Gold Seal Certified in Estimation and Contracts and Contract Law. Some highlights include UBC Student residence’s, The Coast Hotel Downtown Vancouver, Fitzsimmion creek debris barrier and various BC Hydro communication and control building foundations projects.


John Allbutt

Senior Estimator/Project Manager John graduated from Red River College in Winnipeg in 1996 as a Civil Engineering Technologist. In 2004 John earned his CSO Certification at the BC Safety Council. John has over 15 years experience in various positions; as a surveyor, site coordinator, estimator, project manager and corporate safety manager. John is currently the Senior Estimator and Project Manager for Empirica. Some highlights include Burrard Street Bridge, Peak to Peak Gondola, Golden Ears Bridge, and many industrial civil projects.

Emmanuel Mutegyeki

Project Director Emmanuel graduated with Honors from the Northern Alberta Institute of technology and later the University of British Columbia in Civil Engineering. Emmanuel worked with Tetra-tech Canada and the Turner construction company doing project management in the commercial construction sector. Some career highlights include the Genessee and Heathfield converter stations, Edmonton Federal Building, Highway 63 twinning and the Provincial Health Services Authority headquarters in Vancouver, BC.


Grace Lu

Controller Grace is a designated Chartered Professional Accountant and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Grace brings her expertise in finance and accounting that she gained from leading companies throughout Canada. Previously, Grace was an integral member of the fund accounting department at Trez Capital, one of Canada’s largest non-bank commercial mortgage lenders where she was responsible for the financial reporting process for a wide range of Canadian and American investment funds. Prior to moving to Vancouver, Grace worked in Toronto as a Senior Financial Analyst at Munich RE, Canada’s leading reinsurance company where she utilized her financial analysis skills on large challenging client profiles. Grace was a Regional Controller in Alberta for Paragon Gaming where she was responsible for financial reporting and operations management.
